In times of crisis and impending danger, God's people have pleaded for His blessing. As our nation faces the consequences of 50 million legalized abortions and the failure of political strategies/ demonstrations to resolve the abortion issue, we must seek recourse to Our Lady to intervene in this abortion holocaust.

Historically, Rosary Processions have called down special blessings upon various countries and have saved Christianity from destruction. Our Lady of Fatima has requested that we pray the Holy Rosary for the conversion of sinners. We too, can change the course of history and the moral crisis our nation faces by the power of the Holy Rosary. Abortion will not end in the halls of our Capitol, but will end when every individual in our nation is brought to conversion and no longer desires abortion.

The Sacramento Helpers of God's Precious Infants sponsors Helpers' Rosary Processions, as a tool for conversion, and not demonstrations.

A Rosary Procession

A procession is a public act of homage to God, to give honor to Him, our Blessed Mother, or His saints, to ask for divine favor, to thank Him for blessings received and/or to ask pardon for sins committed. It is religious event and people are dressed with dignity and modesty. The number of people participating is not important, but their reverence and piety is imperative.

A demonstration
is a secular public display of the common opinion of an activist group, often economically, political, or socially, by gathering in a crowd or walking in a march, usually at a symbolic place or date, associated with that opinion. The purpose of a demonstration is to show that a significant amount of people are for or against a certain issue, person, law, etc. Signage, posters, slogans and pickets are frequently used to demonstrate to the public the opinion of the activist group. Actions such as blockades, marches, sit-ins and walks may also be referred to as demonstrations. A demonstration is usually considered more successful the more people participate.

A Sacramento Helpers' Rosary Procession is NOT a public demonstration to inform the general public that we as Catholics oppose abortion; it is an act of piety and reparation for the sin of abortion, pleading and praying publicly that God will hear our petitions and through the intercession of our Blessed Mother will answer our prayers. Helpers are not political activists demonstrating our opinion to the general public, but praying to appease the heart of God and pleading for His blessing. We do not rely on signage, slogans, posters, etc. to serve as instruments to educate or persuade the public. While educating the public about the tragedy of abortion by using signage or public displays is a worthy cause, it is not the purpose of a Helpers' Rosary Procession.

Helpers DO NOT march or walk, but process in prayer from a Catholic church to a local abortion center publicly praying the Holy Rosary and pleading for the salvation of the souls of women, and their families, who are seeking abortions, the abortionist and his/her staff, and the general public who is often silent. We process to our local abortion center, our modern day Calvary where we unite in prayer at the foot of the Cross. Demonstrators generally will walk or march sometimes to a symbolic place, usually on a specific date, united with a certain issue, but not necessarily united in prayer.

We rely solely on the graces that flow from the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, Eucharistic Adoration and the recitation of the most Holy Rosary as the instruments that draw souls to God and conversion. Protesters rely predominately on their own signs and themselves to bring their opinion to the general public. Helpers hold onto God, the Blessed Virgin Mary, all the Angels and Saints. We pray and hold onto the Holy Rosary, relying on God's graces, rather than signage as the instrument of conversion. In contrast to a demonstration that seeks a large number of participants, the Helpers seek quality pious participants.

In the words of a former abortionist, "One prayerful person outside an abortion center shouts!" We pray that our devotion, piety and peaceful, prayerful presence along with the graces from Holy Mother Church will draw people to God and conversion.
