The pro-life community from Northern California had the opportunity to meet Monsignor Philip Reilly, international founder of the Helpers of God's Precious Infants, during the October 23-24,2009 Culture of Life Retreat presented by the Sacramento Helpers of God's Precious Infants.

The two day retreat at St. Rose Catholic Church in Sacramento was held concurrently with the Sacramento Helpers' October 24, 2009 Helpers' Prayer Vigil for Life. On Friday evening, Monsignor Reilly presented a lecture on building a Culture of Life to about 40 retreat participants. On Saturday, after the Helpers' Prayer Vigil for Life, Monsignor Reilly presented a lecture on the Spirituality of a Helper to about 55 retreat participants. In addition, Monsignor Reilly presented detailed instruction on sidewalk counseling techniques based on his 40 years of experience at the sidewalk which has resulted in over 20,000 mom's choosing LIFE!

Afterwards, he recognized Amy Rutschow, a Sacramento Helper of God's Precious Infants, for her contribution to the Sacramento apostolate this past year.
